Description
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads and creates responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other potential government and private-sector client requests within required timeframes
  • Prepares detailed proposal outlines and templates
  • Manages correspondence during the proposal process, including clarifying questions in response to RFP's and final submissions
  • Coordinates and manages content collection from various agency staffers, editing and formatting material whenever necessary
  • Creates highly visual presentations as well as simple graphics
  • Analyzes industry-specific, consumer research, scientific, healthcare, and other technical concepts and conveys them in writing in clear and simple language
  • Composes and maintains supporting information (including credentials, capability decks, and case studies) to be used and customized for submissions
  • Organizes research and other preparatory materials to complete writing assignments
  • Proofreads proposals to ensure content accuracy, quality writing, and clear focus

Qualifications
  • Excellent English language skills for writing, editing, and proofreading
  • Superior time management and multi-tasking skills, including ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines
  • Skilled at organizing and translating technical concepts and processes into clear written prose
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starting capability and willingness to employ creative thinking, communication, research and resourcefulness in daily work
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Experience as a writer and/or editor, preferably in sales or marketing fields
  • Proposal writing or grant writing experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related discipline preferred
