Sensis is seeking a PR manager to join our team. Energy, professionalism, attention to detail, resourcefulness and a well-rounded background in PR are required. This position will be in either our Los Angeles or Washington DC office.

Position Description:
The PR Manager will coordinate and deliver public relations strategy and outreach to Sensis' commercial and public sector clients and manage agency public relations outreach. This is a hands-on position that will require the candidate to handle PR programs from strategy to execution, and ongoing management. This is a unique opportunity to work with an established company to build a new department so the upside potential is significant.
Job Duties:
§ Develop and execute outreach strategies for our clients and our agency.
§ Establish and cultivate relationships with media, bloggers, and other influencers.
§ Research, write and disseminate media pitches. Write news releases.
§ Identify opportunities to place bylined articles, op-eds, news releases, etc.
§ Create and maintain industry awards calendars. Oversee application process for industry awards.
§ Identify new business prospects and participate in business development activities.
§ Provide thought leadership and unique perspectives to client communications to position the agency as a leader in the public relations arena
§ Coordinate approval and oversight for all public relations plans, and estimates at appropriate stages prior to client presentation
§ Direct and manage all publicity stories to be distributed by the agency
§ Monitor, research and report on client industry trends, peer companies, and media coverage.
Education & Skills:
§ Four-year degree, preferably in marketing, public relations or journalism
§ At least three years of experience at a PR firm, advertising agency, trade association, or non-profit
§ Experience leveraging social media in a PR context
§ Excellent written and verbal communication ability and strong understanding of media relations, pitching and public relations process
§ Fluent in English
§ Fluent in Spanish preferred
§ Bachelors Degree
§ Analytical and organizational skills
§ Strong time and priority management skills and an ability to juggle multiple client accounts
§ Excellent interpersonal skills
