Description
The TPM is responsible for guiding web projects from concept to execution, working within the framework of the client and Sensis.  The ideal candidate has a strong, in depth web development background and is analytical and detail oriented.  IMPORTANT – You MUST have seen websites to completion, i.e. launch and have played an integral part in their development.

This role reports to our Director of Project Management, and offers an opportunity to grow within a fast paced and relaxed environment.  This position will be based out of our Los Angeles headquarters office, and will involve interfacing with our Washington, DC office as well.

Primary Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Analysis of functional and system requirements, procedures, and problems to enhance and automate existing processes to meet business needs and goals
  • Document detailed description of user needs and program functions
  • Review system capabilities, workflows, and limitations to determine if requested functional or program change is possible within the existing system Plans and prepares technical reports, technical specifications, and instructional manuals as documentation for program development
  • Own project vision and communicate to all parties involved 
  • Identify and lead product development opportunities; evaluate product development scope; analyze & segment markets & competition; understand user needs 
  • Develop clear, buildable product specifications and wireframes with team
  • Work with product, business and development to effectively drive projects from conception to launch 
  • Work with vendors, onsite and offshore resources 
  •  Ensure projects are implemented according to requirements 
  •  Ensure projects are launched according to published schedules 
     
    REQUIREMENTS:
  •  3-5 years of experience managing web dev projects in an online environment (seriously, don’t apply if you don’t have relevant web product experience) 
  •  Understanding of development process & environments: Development, QA, Stage and Live as well as work breakdown, dependencies, responsibilities 
  •  Knowledge of web technologies, especially PHP/LAMP and DRUPAL
    * Proficiency in AGILE/SCRUM methodologies 
    * Strong written and oral communication skills 
    * Able to plan work, organize time, and maintain workflow 
    * Able to interact professionally with all levels of staff 
    * HTML, CSS, Adobe creative suite knowledge 
    * Bachelors degree (CS or related area preferred)
  • Proven track record of technical writing
  • Multi-tasking and ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Good organizational skills
  • Technically savvy with strong experience with Microsoft Office and online issue tracking and collaboration tools Assembla, Basecamp, Jira, Bugzilla, etc.
  • Proactive interaction with managers, developers, project managers, and analysts
  • Creative problem solver who is extremely well organized and accustomed to maintaining meticulous records
  • Demonstrates strong follow up and follow though skills ensuring timely delivery
