Digital Production Designer/Artist

Sensis Agency DC is looking for a freelance Digital Production Designer/Artist (to start immediately) with an established track record working on fully integrated advertising and interactive campaigns at established agencies, big or small (a plus).

The Digital Production Designer/Artist is a mid-level position responsible for the production of various digital advertising materials for our top client’s marketing initiatives. The Digital Production Artist will support our internal team with projects relating to HTML email templates and build Banner Ads (Flash and other types) production as well other various digital assets/deliverables and production needs pertaining to other venues. Looking for an applicant to have an understanding of web design elements, applicable knowledge of industry trends in development to improve service to our clients. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to prepare and deliver creative assets for digital advertising projects by producing specifications for HTML, modules/ad units, emails, and/or landing pages for desktop, mobile and tablet platforms.
• Build production ready digital and print files.
• Build digital banner assets: static and animated. Flash & HTML (a plus).
• Provide visual quality assurance (QA) to ensure pages match design specs.
• Use your mastery of all key web and print graphics programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) as problem solving tools in your work.
• Work collaboratively with others to meet projects deadlines.
• Ability to create and troubleshoot technical files for web/mobile/tablet development or press, a plus.

• Work and collaborate closely with creative directors, art directors and designers.
• Create, optimize and maintain advertising media (standard banners, rich media units, and HTML emails).
• Extract and optimize assets from provided Photoshop and Illustrator design files; prepare for web production.
• Provide technical guidance around graphics deliverables, limitations, and considerations in the digital space.
• Work with outside vendors and partner agencies to provide and guide deliverables when necessary.
• Troubleshoot and test deliverables across browsers and platforms to insure maximum coverage and consistency.
• Ability to patiently and articulately communicate technical concepts and ideas to colleagues with varying degrees of technical or digital knowledge is a plus.

 
Qualifications 

• At least 3-5 years of production experience working in an ad agency environment or related industry preferred.
• Knowledgeable of all facets of digital computer graphics and essential software.
• Good conceptual background.
• Must possess very good technical skills
• Multitask.
• Remain organized.
• Be able to think independently
• Exhibit a positive attitude and respect toward others.
• Be able to operate with minimal supervision.
• Communicate with good written and verbal skills.
• Strong CS 6 Suite experience a plus.
• Portfolio in PDF or web format is a MUST.
