What we are looking for: Senior Speech Writer

 

Full Time / Competitive Salary

 

Our federal client has an immediate opening for an accomplished writer to join their speechwriting team. They are looking for a writer who can absorb detailed government policy and programs and weave them into a cohesive storyline. You should be able to create an authentic narrative that is clear, personal, and impactful.

 

The qualified candidate will be able to craft persuasive messaging that can stir an audience and rally support for a wide range of innovative and groundbreaking initiatives. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines is essential. Experience working in government and/or public health is a plus.

 

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

● Draft speeches, talking points, slides, event summaries, and other related materials

● Actively collaborate with senior government officials

● Conduct research to support and strengthen prepared remarks

● Update speeches to reflect changing data

● Keep up with press events and other happenings within the agency

 

 

 

 

What you’ll bring along:

 

● A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in journalism, communications or related field.

● At least six years of relevant work experience with demonstrated speechwriting ability

● Superior written and verbal communication skills

● Punctuality, time management, and extreme attention to detail

● Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline

● A passion for public health
