Senior Account Director

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior point of contact, internal and external, for key client accounts, building and maintaining trusting senior level client relationships
  • Resolve all client escalation issues, both internally and externally
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, products, policies, and goals, establishing a long-term vision for clients’ businesses
  • Actively promote agency areas of expertise to the clients (when appropriate) to identify ways of driving more revenue
  • Provide thought leadership to clients through daily and longer-term interactions
  • Work with the team to ensure they are delivering effective solutions to client
  • Manage internal and external partner relationships and resources to achieve client objectives
  • Manage work flow and client assignment
  • Develop a strong spirit of collaboration and integration among team members and disciplines; promote positive working relationships
  • Manage client budgets, internal costs, utilization, and resources
  • Train and motivate Account Management staff, delegate responsibly, and maintain a positive environment that demands great work and recognizes achievement and fosters growth
  • Participate and contribute as needed as part of the agency management team
 
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of agency experience; Digital a plus!
  • Team management experience
  • Proven track record increasing client billing
  • Blend of experience with big and small agencies
  • Ability to think about the big picture, but roll-up sleeves and get to work when needed
  • Full understanding of the principles of marketing communications planning, advertising, marketing, media, creative, production, public relations, research, agency finance, etc.
  • Financial management
  • Personnel management – instruction/motivation
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Experience working with government agencies is a plus
  • Bachelors (Minimum), Masters (Preferred)
