As a Proposal Manager at Sensis, you will contribute to our federal government procurement processes and other business development efforts, positioning us to win new business and build on past successes. You will manage the development of compelling and professional proposals that reflect our position as one of the fastest growing advertising agencies in the federal space.

With offices in Los Angeles, CA, Washington, DC, and Atlanta, GA, we have a thriving government contracting practice and work with clients including CMS, AARP, the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, FDA, and USDA, in addition to a large and growing list of private sector clients.
 
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage development of compelling, accurate, and professional proposals
  • Author key portions of government and private sector proposals
  • Facilitate bid evaluation and proposal strategy
  • Assist the Business Development team through the entire proposal process, from forecasting to winning
  • Conduct research on target clients, including research on the contract, incumbent, insights, timing, etc.
  • Gather information from company and public sources, subject matter experts, management/technical staff, and capture/proposal documents, and organize it for compliance with requirements
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., business development, strategy, web development, accounts, and creative) to blend our services, market intelligence, and company positioning into a narrative that conveys our unique value proposition
  • Analyze proposal sections for consistency and clarity, compliance with RFP/RFI/RFQ requirements, and alignment with proposed solutions and themes
  • Perform quality check of all proposal sections and volumes.
  • Maintain proposal content library so that documentation and learning are captured for future use
 
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of proposal development processes in the Federal acquisition environment
  • Clean, concise, and precise writing capability; impeccable grammar; technical writing experience preferred
  • Obsessively detail-oriented with superb organizational skills and strong follow-through
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Ability to translate technical features into customer benefits.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage schedules
  • Function well in a fast-paced, informal, team-focused environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for quality is extremely high
  • Bachelor's degree
