Sensis is looking for a business development coordinator who likes people, isn’t afraid to sell, and wants to get into the advertising business.
 
The business development coordinator will support our sales team to research business development opportunities, find sales leads, develop them into qualified opportunities, and work with senior staff to follow-up as necessary to win new business. 
 
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a driven, hungry candidate wanting to break into the fast paced advertising industry.  The right candidate must be outgoing, enthusiastic, and a hard worker.  You must work well in a team-oriented, client-focused environment. This will be a tremendous learning experience in an advertising agency. 
 
The BDC will work closely with our Executive Vice President to identify and independently follow through on prospective client targets and opportunities that are consistent with the agency’s core competencies and target markets. This role offers an opportunity to grow within a fast paced and casual work environment. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Utilize our vast network of inbound referrals to filter through opportunities
  • Explore cold and warm leads through our internal databases along with other resources
  • Attend networking events and begin developing relationships with potential clients
  • Create, update and maintain sales collateral
  • Maximize Sensis’ presence within Diversity Supplier databases in both government and private sectors
  • Assist senior staff in moving potential clients through our sales pipeline process
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Confident, polished, positive, upbeat and self-motivated
  • Willingness to work long hours when necessary 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Spanish proficiency (fluency preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Advertising
  • Able to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
 
Additional Desired Skills:
  • Background in sales, media or advertising
  • Knowledge of digital advertising and social media platforms
