ACCOUNT SERVICE INTERN/ ACCOUNT COORDINATOR
This paid internship opportunity is designed to develop the necessary skills in order to become a strong advertising agency Account Coordinator. The internship entails supporting the day-to-day activities of servicing accounts such as assisting with research, presentations, timelines, budgets & billing, client needs/requests, and brainstorming ideas. A minimum availability and commitment of 30+ hours is required during standard agency hours of operation with ability to work up to 40 hours per week.  

This hourly position is slated to begin June 1st and would be for a minimum of three months with the possibility of being hired full-time upon completion.  You will work directly with and report to the Account Supervisor in our growing Washington, DC Office.

Responsibilities: 
Support local Account Services lead for multiple client contacts 
Hands-on management of daily activities for several accounts 
Play the pivotal role of coordinating between research/planning, creative and media departments to ensure smooth development and implementation of clients' campaigns 
Support budget planning, competitive monitoring, research/planning as needed
Research and provide supportive information for creative strategies and briefs
Assist in communicating clients' needs thoroughly and effectively to other internal departments 
Monitor media/creative effectiveness/quality. 
Assist in processing legal, technical, product planning approvals. 
Generate ideas for promotion and events. 


KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 
• Client service knowledge required (previous ad agency experience preferred).  Digital & multi-cultural interest and experience a HUGE plus!
• Strong writing and presentation skills 
• Organizational skills 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and project plans 
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and autonomously 
• Motivated with a sense of urgency

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy

EDUCATION: 
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or related field
