What We Are Looking For:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Qualitative Research Assistant to support an upcoming research project. You’ll work closely with the Senior Qualitative Researcher to help coordinate and execute key components of the research process. This role is ideal for someone interested in qualitative methods, user research, or community-based research, and who thrives in a flexible, collaborative environment. 

What You’ll Be Doing:​​​​​

Scheduling & Coordination 

  • Assist with scheduling interviews and focus groups 
  • Communicate with participants and stakeholders in a timely, professional manner

Recruitment Support 

  • Help identify, screen, and follow up with research participants 
  • Maintain organized recruitment trackers and participant logs 

Administrative Support 

  • Handle data entry and documentation (e.g., notes, consent forms, spreadsheets) 
  • Support with organizing digital files, transcripts, and materials 
  • Assist with managing research incentives and tracking distributions 

What You’ll Bring Along:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Comfortable with email, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Calendar) 
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality 
  • Background in Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, or a related social science field—especially through graduate coursework or research 
  • Familiarity with qualitative research methods (e.g., interviews, thematic analysis, ethnographic approaches) 
  • Must know how to do ASL (American Sign Language) 

Schedule:

  • Part time: 20 hours per week
  • Employment duration: 6-8 months

Where:
Hybrid, in-office. Glendale, California 

Compensation:
For California residents only - the hourly rate for this role is $25-$35. 
The offered salary or hourly rate is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
